The Mercury Lincoln Meteor Franchise (as it was known then) was assumed by the late C.R. (Cec) Evans on February 10, 1953 in a modest facility located on the north-east corner of the Bloor St./Islington Ave. intersection. Mr. Evans was assisted by his two sons, Ted and the late Robert in developing a very successful new car and truck sales and service operation in subsequent years, and, on January 17, 1970, having outgrown their original building, the Evans family moved their business into the current facility at 5500 Dundas St. W.

On March 1, 1972, the late J.W. (Jim) Herrington purchased the dealership and, retaining the well established Evans name, Mr. Herrington operated the business with continued success for the next 8 years.

Mr. W.M. (Matt) Raymond became the new Evans owner on March 12, 1980 and the dealership still remains a family run business by W.M. (Matt) and his son Dave Raymond.

Evans Ford Lincoln is dedicated to continuing the tradition of excellence established through previous owners, based on satisfied customers and long term rewarding employer/employee relationships.
