Jim has been our general sales manager for the past 3 ½ years and came to us after successfully running one of Canada’s largest leasing companies for General Motors for 2yrs. His previous work experience was 3 years working for both Ford of Canada and the United States assisting their dealerships in improving their sales and leasing divisions and 16 years in sales and management for one of Scarborough’s largest Ford dealerships.

Jim’s passion since the day he arrived has been customer service. His goal has been to ensure all customers receive a level of service that exceeds their expectations and puts the fun back into buying or leasing a vehicle. And it must be working, as Evans Ford Lincoln boasts one of highest customer satisfaction ratings in the country.

I wanted to take a minute and send you a quick email on an experience my wife and I had with your dealership and the purchase of a Ranger and lease on an Escape.

The Follow Up

One day about a month after we got our new vehicles, we received a call from Debbie Cochrane, your customer relations person. She was following up after the sale and wanted to know if everything was O.K.

We explained to Debbie at that time we were having difficulty getting the keyless entry code on the Escape as the vehicle did not appear to come with the white card Ford provides with the code on it. Also, we had not received the trip package promotion yet.

Debbie was quick to listen and that same day she returned a call to us and had a solution for the code and informed us that the trip packages would be couriered to us the next day.

HERE'S WHAT BLEW US AWAY

Debbie did everything she said she would do. She did it professionally, proficiently and managed our expectations without a hitch. The trip packages arrived the next day, just as she said. The Escape went into the local dealer and I paid to get the code retrieved. I then forwarded the invoice onto Debbie and the cheque to cover my costs showed up the next day, just as she said.

I own and operate a contracting business. I understand the value of a good employee. I also understand that the second you don't manage your clients expectations...someone else will.

The point of this email is to inform you that our experience with Debbie Cochrane was awesome. The level of customer service we received from Debbie is a dying art form in our world. She represents your company well and I suggest you do everything in your power to keep her as a member of your team.
